Dan is the Director for Research Integrity at Harvard Medical School. He facilitates and ensures the rigorous evaluation of possible research misconduct for HMS and its affiliates, and collaborates with practicing scientists and institutional stakeholders to support the development and implementation of resources for research integrity and reproducibility. He has served on the ARIO Board of Directors since 2019. His training in developmental genetics (Ph.D. Biology, M.I.T.) and nearly 15 years’ editorial and publishing experience in cell and developmental biology inform his perspective on research rigor and transparency.
